Yellow Pencil was founded in 2021 with a straightforward mission: build things properly. We started with residential renovations in the GTA and quickly grew into commercial fit-outs — clinics, retail stores, restaurants, fitness centers. Today, we manage projects up to $4 million across the Greater Toronto Area.
Our name reflects how every great build starts — with a pencil mark on a plan. We carry that same precision through every phase: from the first estimate to the final walkthrough. With 300+ completed projects and clients who keep coming back, our track record speaks for itself.

Founded in Markham
Yellow Pencil Inc. incorporated in Ontario. Started with residential renovations in the GTA, building a reputation for reliability and quality craftsmanship.
2023
Commercial Expansion
Expanded into commercial fit-outs — medical clinics, retail stores in Yorkville Village, fitness centers, and food & beverage spaces. Built a network of trusted trades across the GTA.
2025
300+ Projects & Growing
Surpassed 300 completed projects across the GTA. Managing 11 simultaneous residential and commercial builds. Launched a new digital platform at yellowpencil.co to better serve clients.
